Dear Valued Patient,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for allowing me to take care of your dental needs and inform you of my decision to retire. Believe me this has not been an easy decision to make as practicing dentistry in Caledonia has allowed me to meet so many great people over the years.

After much searching, I am pleased to announce that Dr. Barbora Hnizda Valerio will now be caring for my patients.

Dr. Valerio completed her dental education at SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 2013, including a concentration in Esthetic Dentistry. She then completed her Dental General Practice Residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse, NY and has been practicing dentistry in the Rochester area for the past 10 years. She has completed extensive training in surgical techniques, implant dentistry, Botox and injectables, oral conscious sedation and Invisalign.

Dr. Valerio attributes her work-ethic and success to her family and upbringing. The Hnizda family came to the United States from the Czech Republic in 1985 shortly before Dr. Barb was born. One of seven children, Dr. Valerio grew up in a small town in Carroll County, about an hour north of Baltimore, Maryland. She attended Villa Julie College where she majored in Biology, graduating with honors. Afterwards, she completed a year of research at Johns Hopkins University, School of Public Health.

Dr. Barb met her husband, Dr. Matthew Valerio, while they were classmates at UB Dental School. They reside in Churchville and are proud parents of three little girls, Valentina, Adela and Camila. Dr. Barb enjoys baking, gardening, and volunteering in their local church and school community.

Dr. Valerio will be seeing patients at our current location and all your appointments will remain the same. All current staff will be staying on to ensure a smooth transition and I will be at the practice during a transition period and hope to have a chance to thank you and say goodbye in person. Dr. Valerio will have full access to your dental records to ensure seamless care. I am confident that she will provide the same caring dental treatment that you have come to expect and deserve.
